Heart Program

Gottlieb is a heart center providing a complete range of services including chest pain emergency care in our Emergency department (we are a Level II Trauma Center), the latest in diagnostics and treatments, including angioplasties in our two cardiac catheterization labs, as well as open-heart surgery (since 1988) performed by a group of heart surgeons whose outcomes consistently place them among the best in the nation.

Gottlieb’s Heart Program provides full diagnostic, acute care treatment and ongoing management of cardiovascular conditions such as:

  • Coronary artery disease
  • Congestive heart failure
  • Valve disease
  • Irregular heartbeat

We have an expert group of cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons (our group of heart surgeons has outcomes that consistently place them among the best in the nation), electrophysiologists and peripheral vascular surgeons. And working with our medical staff is a team of highly skilled nurses and technicians.

We provide chest pain emergency care in our Emergency department (we are a Level II Trauma Center), and the latest in diagnostics and treatment, including angioplasty and implanting drug-eluting stents, in our two, new state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization suites (opened in 2003).

Our comprehensive care plan, designed to ensure recovery, begins with specialized “step-down” units, coronary care and telemetry units, and continues with a two-phase cardiac rehabilitation program.
