The Medical Imaging department includes:
CT (CAT) consists of two CT scanners. Our newest scanner has real-time fluoroscopy capabilities for performing biopsies and other invasive procedures as well as Heart Scans, a fast, non-invasive procedure used for early detection of artery blockages, which cause heart attacks.
Ultrasound has state-of-the-art equipment that is used to perform the latest procedures including vascular, arterial, breast and female imaging.
MRI technologists utilize a patient-friendly Siemens Magnetom Symphony to image all areas. We also perform angiography. Our high-speed machine makes testing time much shorter. And the wider, but shorter testing changes, which is open in the back, reduces concerns about claustrophobia and can accomodate patients weighing 350 pounds or more. Our program is accredited by the American College of Radiology.
Nuclear Medicine services include all aspects of imaging including cardiology, sentinel node detection and therapies.
Within the Diagnostic Center, Gottlieb also has a Women's Health Center where mammograms, and stereotactic and mammotome biopsies are performed. The Women's Center has its own discreet waiting room and separate consultation room and will provide enhanced educational opportunities with an array of informational videotapes and reference materials.
Technologists at the Women's Health Center also are trained to provide osteoporosis screenings.
