Rehabilitation helps patients gain strength and movement following an illness or injury.
Gottlieb's Outpatient Rehabilitation department has a staff of compassionate, experienced professionals who utilize the latest techniques to treat and prevent various musculoskeletal, orthopedic, sport and work-related injuries.
The staff includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapist assistants, athletic trainers and speech language pathologists.
All outpatient rehab patients must have a written referral or prescription from their doctor.
Every patient receives a comprehensive evaluation from which a customized treatment program is developed. The staff takes a one-on-one, hands-on approach and provides easy-to-understand instructions. Patients also are instructed in an individualized home exercise program so they can play an active role in their rehabilitation.
Staff coordinates each patient's treatment plan with his or her physician and provides thorough and timely progress reports.
At Gottlieb's modern facility, which is located next to the Gottlieb Center for Fitness, patients have access to a variety of strengthening and conditioning equipment, from treadmills and rowing machines to Stairmasters and Cybex units. Patients also have access to the Fitness Center, which has two pools, a cushioned running track and a wide variety of exercise equipment.
