Gottlieb Memorial Hospital raised more than $1,500 for the American Heart Association through fundraising efforts by employees and members of the Gottlieb Health and Fitness Center.
Putting their best foot forward for the American Heart Association Heart Walk on Saturday, September 29, are Gottlieb Hospital employees, from left: Chris Hane, a resident of Downers Grove, orderly, Surgery; Barbara Martinez, a resident of Elmwood Park, patient care assistant, 3W; UB Martinez, resident of Elmwood Park, Patient Access; Diane Spisak, resident of River Grove, assistant manager, Patient Access and Stasia Thompson, resident of Oak Park, manager, Public Relations, who completed the three-mile walk to raise money and awareness for heart disease.
The winner of nearly $500 in the split-the-pot raffle was Gottlieb Health and Fitness member Jimmy Mavrick of Elmwood Park. Jimmy received the good news while attending a class at the Fitness Center and receives a congratulatory hug from receptionist, Mildred Swiecicki.
