At Gottlieb, your care includes helping you to regain your strength and improve conditions that affect your health. Gottlieb Rehabilitation Services offers outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation.

Gottlieb's pulmonary rehabilitation specialists will develop an individual plan to help you manage breathing problems, increase stamina, reduce shortness of breath and help improve your health. Pulmonary conditions treated include:

  • COPD
  • Emphysema
  • Chronic bronchitis
  • Asthma
  • Pulmonary fibrosis
  • Pulmonary hyptertension
  • Bronchiectasis
  • Other lung diseases

A physician referral is required to participate in this monitored program for people with pulmonary problems.

Evaluation and Treatment from a Dedicated Team

The program begins with a comprehensive lung function evaluation and a six-minute walking test. The rehab team then develops your treatment and exercise plan, which includes three-times-a-week pulmonary exercise and education sessions. The sessions meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1 pm.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation is located with Cardiac Rehabilitation on the second floor of the Rehabilitation Services Building, 555 W. North Ave., between the Gottlieb Professional Building and the Gottlieb Center for Fitness.

A physician order is required to participate in pulmonary rehab. The program is open to patients of doctors from throughout the area.
